The poll also found that 76% of Cuban American in South Florida disapprove of the increased deportations of Cubans with no criminal record over the first two years of his second term. Despite this, 68% expressed their intention to support the GOP in the upcoming midterm election, consistent with the all-time high in a previous poll in 2024. In the Senate race between Republican Sen. Ashley Moody and Democrat Angie Nixon, 51% of the full sample supported Moody, while only 26% supported Democrat Angrie Nixon. In Florida's gubernatorial race, 60% of Cub Americans supported Republican Rep. Byron Donalds and 24% supported Democratic David Jolly. Early voting is underway in Miami-Dade and Broward until Nov. 1 at 7 p.m.
