The Associated Press Top 25 poll has been released following a significant shakeup in the national landscape after three top-12 programs lost to unranked opponents in Week 8 of the 2026 college football season. Despite the chaos, the Miami Hurricanes remained top of the rankings, maintaining their unbeaten record and retaining their No. 1 ranking. Meanwhile, Utah and UCLA continued their march towards the top spot, while Iowa and USC were knocked out of the Top 12. Wisconsin and Oklahoma State made their debuts in the Top 25 following their victories over USC and No. 2 BYU.
