Sands is described as 5 feet, 2 inches tall, 100 pounds, with gray/black hair and brown eyes. Her family has informed detectives that she has dementia. POMPANO BEACH, Fla. – The Broward Sheriff’s Office Missing Persons Unit asked for the public’s help Friday in locating an 84-year-old woman with dementia.

According to detectives, Annie Ruth Sands was last seen around 9 a.m. Thursday in the 800 block of Northwest 30th Avenue in Pompano Beach.

Authorities said Sands is about 5 feet, 2 inches tall and weighs about 100 pounds. She has gray/black hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing a black hoodie, blue jeans, black sandals and a green fanny pack.

Sands’ family told detectives that she has dementia.
