On holiday: Price cuts steer Miami-Dade homebuying deals
Most of South Florida’s luxury buyers went into holiday hibernation last week, but homebuying didn’t come to a complete halt. A report from Douglas Elliman's Eklund-Gomes team revealed that eight contracts were signed in Miami-Dade County between Dec. 22 and Dec. 28, with homes that went pending last week totalling $54.4 million in asking dollar volume and averaging 118 days on the market. The report tracks signed contracts for single-family homes and condos priced at $4 million or more in the county. The most expensive listing was a 3,900-square-foot house at 2830 Lucerne Avenue in Miami Beach asking $9 million. The previous week, buyers signed 19 contracts worth $305 million, led by a pending deal for a Coconut Grove estate asking $115 million.
