Brendan Paul, a 25-year-old man from Chagrin Falls, Ohio, who was arrested earlier this week on drug charges in Florida, has also been named in a case connected to rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs.

Paul’s arrest Monday, which happened in Opa-Locka, Florida, came the same day authorities searched Combs’ properties in Los Angeles and Miami in a bi-coastal raid that captured national attention. The Associated Press previously reported the raids are “part of an ongoing sex trafficking investigation by federal authorities in New York.”

The arrest report from Miami-Dade police shows Paul was taken into custody around 4:30 p.m. for allegedly being in possession of suspected cocaine and marijuana-laced candy.

“The defendant had the contraband inside of his personal travel bags, which he claimed prior to being searched,” according to the arrest report. “The suspect cocaine was located and tested by agents.”

Miami court records indicate Paul posted bond. His next hearing is currently scheduled for Wednesday, April 24, at 9 a.m.

Police list Paul's address in the 16500 block of Heatherwood Lane in Chagrin Falls.

In the Combs lawsuit, several photographs of Paul are included in a 79-page document filed March 4 in the United States Federal Court Southern District of New York. One line in the complaint alleges Paul works as Combs’ mule.

“He acquires, and distributes, Mr. Combs Drugs, and Guns,” according to the document.
